August 18, 2014: The Grove School Celebrated Krishna Jayanthi

The Grove School celebrated Krishna Jayanthi on August 18 , 2014. The function started with a prayer followed by pooja done by Mrs. Soumya, Sanskrit Teacher. Students of classes V and VI sang Krishnashatakam- The eight verses about Lord Krishna.

Children of classes II & III sang songs about Little Krishna. Without a dance nothing is colourful. Students of class IV gave a dance performance for a Krishna Song (Hey Govinda). Not only children of our school but the teachers too participated in the function.

Mrs. Shanthadevi sang songs and Bhajans of Lord Krishna. Last but not the least, Rupesh of Class IV recited Gita charam, which tells about the essence of life to be imbibed by one and all.

Finally Prasadam was distributed to the students and function ended with a spiritual touch.
