Friday, July 25, 2014: The Grove School celebrates its Decennial Sports Day

The Grove school Decennial Year Sports Day was held on July 25, 2014 at YMCA Ground, Nandanam. Its objective was to develop in the students a sporting spirit and a venue to display their physical prowess.

The inauguration commenced at 9 AM with an invocation song. The chief guest, Mr. Dawn William, General Manager of The Blue Cross of India graced the occasion.

The March Past by the four houses exhibited discipline and strenuous practice of the students. The Chief Guest declared the sports meet open. The Students who brimmed with determination show cased their team spirit by building human pyramids with commitment, courage and concentration. The students made the spectators journey into the joyous world of yoga by performing various asanas. The students took part in various fun games and made the spectators awestruck.

The Tiny Tots from STD I-III performed a fantabulous “Flag Drill”. The little wizards of class IV & V conjured up a magical display with their vibrant band. The Students of class VI-X raised the heat of the venue by their “Ribbon Drill”.

The Paramount track events for the athletes brought out the sportsmanship and their optimistic view of life. The Peepal house was in high spirits as they bagged the overall championship. The warriors of Neem house relived the Past by bagging the trophy for the game “Tug Of War“. The day came to an end by honoring the winning team of teachers for the “Blind Volley Ball” game.

This unforgettable day would have made an indelible mark in everyone’s mind.
