June 27, 2015 was a day of excitement at The Grove school. The inter-house Cricket championship was held on that day. It was time for the toss. The match started exactly at 9.15 AM. Gulmohar won the toss and elected to bat first. Gulmohar started their innings with a bang. Mohit Mehta, Captain of Gulmohar Cricket Team swayed away 4s and 6s all over the field. Openers creeped up huge score in the first few overs with Mohit scoring briskly seventy with ease. With the fall of Mohits wicket the Gulmohars fell like a pack of cards, giving a competitive target of 145.

Team Neem under the captaincy of C. Yogamurugan came out to chase. They had a slow start scoring fifties in first ten overs with fall of five wickets. Then came the little master, Abhinav with a lot of pressure to take his team out of the field victorious. Dhruv’s, Ananth’s and Niveditha’s partnerships with Abhinav were fruitful. Determination to win made Neem achieve the target in the 19th  and last over with one wicket in hand.

The thrilling match ended with Neem rising up to the occasion and winning the rolling trophy.
