Sports day celebrations 2019- 20
The eventful Annual Sports day of THE GROVE SCHOOL was conducted on 8.1.2020
The event started with a prayer song by the school choir followed by a welcome address by our headmistress C.Bhuvaneshwari.
The principal Mrs. S.M.Sujatha hoisted the National flag and the headmistress Mrs. .Bhuvaneshwari hoisted the school flag.
The MARCH PAST started off grandly with the procession of prefects and members of 4 houses with their placards and home flags.The march was lead by sports captain Mohit Mehta of Class XII followed by head boy CT.Muruhappan and head girl P.Aakrithi of Class XII
After this, the Olympic flame which was carried by a relay all the way to its final destination. Once the torch was lighted and the oath was taken the Kindergarten fun events and athletic events were conducted.
We also had display of students’ talents in ball drill performed by class I and II , and a refreshing Zumba dance by the girls of Standard VI to VIII. Girls from Class VII to Class XI performed a colourful wing dance that delighted the audience. We had other innovative drills such as band drill by students from Class III to V . The students proved their mettle by their coordinated and focused effort.
This was followed by various track events and fun games for all the levels starting from Std I to XII
The overall trophy for Sports 2020 went to GULMOHAR and the runner up was PEEPAL.
