The Pongal pot was all set!

The students of The Grove School and Saraswathi Kendra Learning Centre were dressed up  in their best ethnic attire. The students and teachers were ready to showcase their talent. We were glued to our seats awaiting an eventful morning. The Pongal day celebration was

a grand event with individual and groups songs, Kavadi dance, group dance and a folk dance by the teachers, adding a feather to the cap.

Just when the performances were getting over, the Pongal was rising its way out of the pot making everyone welcome it with chants of “PONGAL-O-PONGAL”.

The day didn’t end here. After the Pongal celebrations, sweet pongal was distributed to all the students and staff in a traditional leaf bowl. On the whole, it was a vibrant day with a sugary touch.
