The festive display of dolls and figurines in The Grove School and the SKLC marked the beginning of the festive season of Navaratri (Dussehra) . It was an artistic display typically thematic, exhibiting a legendary place of worship being the Thirumala temple with the chief deity Lord Venkateshwara . It was so beautifully executed with the scenic Thirumala to the right, the traditional seven steps in the centre that displayed various dolls and the look alike model of the sanctum sanctorium of the great Kaaligambal temple to the right. It was truly a show stealer and “talk of the town” with Sankara TV feauturing the Kolu Kondattam in one of its prime slot. Prayers were conducted and prasadams were offered by the Golu team and tamboolam was offered to parents who visited the Golu. The teachers of SKLC and The Grove School exchanged tamboolam too.
