Vinayaka Charthurthi Celebrations- August 24, 2017

The Grove School celebrated an eco friendly Vinayaka Chathurthi on the August 24, 2017. The programme began with a pooja offered to Lord Ganesha. “Ganesha Pancharathnam”, a sloka of Aadhi Shankara and a keerthanai, “Mooladhara Moorthi” was sung by the students. A surprise visitor to the school was little Ganesha who brought a smile on everyone’s face. He was gifted with all his favourite items by his little friends. This was followed by a group recitation of slokas on Ganesha after which ‘Prasadham’ was distributed to all. The highlight of the celebration was the making of eco friendly Ganesha idols with earthen clay by the entire school.
